Keep Smelling Salts As Respiratory Stimulants In First Aid Kit

With the influx of new medical discoveries flooding the science magazines and store shelves these days, it is good to know exactly what one should have in a high quality first aid kit. These items should all be useful to you in a bad situation, and you should have ample supply of all of them. One of the main supplies that should be found within a first aid kit is a substance called smelling salts. These special salts arent really salts in reality, or at least not as we as the general public know salts. They are generally a combination of alcohol and ammonia, combined with other ingredients, which when opened from their packaging are used to prevent people from fainting, or in the case of someone already having fainted, they serve to help resuscitate the victim. As such, they are called respiratory stimulants and are indispensable in the modern kit.
